The route desk keeps three kinds of records: what you type into Block Check and the other forms, a few details about how you reached the site, and the photo taken after each visit. This notice lists each one, who handles it, when it gets thrown out, and how to have it corrected or wiped. Clear by 7 sells none of it.
Records the route desk keeps
Block Check, the crew form and the route desk’s message form collect a street address and ZIP, lot details, a first name, an email address and, when you add them, a phone number, crew notes, photos and the message you write. Whatever you send is filed together with the options you tick.
- Street address, ZIP and the lot details you pick: frontage, corner, stairs, apron, extras
- First name and email; a phone number only if you type one in
- Crew notes and attached photos
- Messages sent to the route desk, with the topic you pick
- Referral details: the page you came in from, any utm tags, and the click IDs ad networks append to links (gclid and the like)
- Cookie-free visit tallies: which pages were opened, from roughly which country, on what kind of device
Your address and the crew
The address decides your block’s route status. The route desk also checks it against the Cook County parcel map and slots it into a route. Your partner crew is given the address and your access notes (gates, hidden steps, fresh concrete) only once you say “Route me.”
Visit photos
Each visit ends with a photo of the cleared walk and stairs, and its time stamp is what decides the late credit. Crews shoot the property only, with people and license plates kept out of frame. Visit photos are purged 12 months after they’re taken.
Photos attached to a Block Check request are used to price and plan your visits and are filed with that request.
What the records are for
Answering your request and running your pass; writing to you about that request; holding proof of the prices, deadlines and credits promised to you; and measuring which ads and pages actually send people to Block Check.
How clearby7.com counts visits
Clear by 7 counts page views with its own tally running on clearby7.com: no cookies, and nothing that follows you elsewhere on the web. You won’t find ad pixels, live-chat pop-ups or session-replay scripts on these pages, which means no outside company gathers data here about your browsing over time or on other sites.
Telling an ad platform a request arrived
Arrived by clicking a Clear by 7 ad, then sent a form? Clear by 7’s server may then tell that ad network, in a short note, that a request came through; it’s the only way to judge whether the ad paid for itself. That note is never sent for browsers broadcasting Global Privacy Control, or for a device you’ve taken out of ad measurement with the switch further down this notice.
Companies that handle it for us
Clear by 7 uses a short list of outside services, and each signs a contract that limits what it can do with your details. Clear by 7 never sells personal information, and shares none for ad targeting built on your activity across other companies’ sites and apps, which California law names cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Hosting for clearby7.com, on U.S. servers
- A mail service that sends your estimate, firm price and visit photos
- An alert tool that flags new requests for the route desk
- The payment company behind the deposit page, if you hold a spot; your card number never reaches Clear by 7
- The partner crew on your route, once you say “Route me”: address, access notes and visit photos, nothing more
When records are thrown out
Clear by 7 holds request records no longer than 24 months; after that they are deleted or anonymized. Visit photos are purged after 12 months. Should Clear by 7 close, every person on its list is told by email and their personal information is wiped within 30 days.
Your copy, corrections and deletion
Use the message form with the “Privacy request” key picked, and the route desk will send a copy of your records, fix what’s wrong or delete them. A Global Privacy Control signal is treated as an opt-out of selling or sharing for whoever sends it. “Do Not Track” settings don’t alter how the site works; everything on this page applies to all visitors regardless.
Your privacy choices
The switch below takes this device out of ad measurement. It’s remembered by this browser alone, so flip it again on another device or after you clear site data.
Keep this device out of ad measurement
Switched on, our server never tells an ad platform that you sent a request, even after you fill in a form.
This browser is broadcasting Global Privacy Control, so Clear by 7 already treats the device as opted out.
Adults only
Season passes are sold to adults. Clear by 7 doesn’t knowingly gather personal information from people under 16.
Revisions
Each change to this notice moves the revision date shown up top. Changes that matter go out by email to people on Clear by 7’s list.
Who answers for it
Clear by 7 answers for this notice and for the records it describes. Questions about either go to the route desk through the message form; its answers go out by email.
