When messages are read
The route desk reads messages on weekdays from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Central, and much later on snow nights, and every answer goes out by email. If you write during a storm, expect a short answer and a longer one the next morning.
Before you write
Clear by 7 has no connection to the City of Chicago, so a message sent here doesn’t reach any city office.
